Completion of the IST-Taguspark building. Members of AMRAD and IST have designed the new satellite tracking station that has been installed in a room modified for the purpose. The station was additionally equipped with measuring instruments coming from AMRAD, IST, INESC-ID and IT. The new station went on to track several satellites and every year made numerous demonstrations for hundreds of high school students.

AMRAD, an amateur radio association, provides equipment and complementary knowledge to begin construction in a small room of the provisional Satellite Tracking Station, call sign CS5CEP, at IST Taguspark, built during 2007.
The Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering of IST promotes the acquisition of basic equipment necessary for the construction of a satellite tracking station in the IST Taguspark Campus.
